Heather

Meet Heather

Heather is true Mainer in heart and soul, and thrives being surrounded by nature. Born in Farmington, and growing up in Harpswell and Greenville, Heather is drawn to both the water and the mountains. She enjoys camping, canoeing, hiking, downhill and cross country skiing. She also enjoys photography.

RIght after graduating from the University of Maine Farmington, she put her degree in elementary education aside to enjoy life as a ski bum for eight years at Sugarloaf/USA. She loved working in the close-knit community where she skii’d all winter and hiked and mountain biked all summer.

Heather still loves everything outdoors, especially with her son Sam, age 12. They live in Topsham, and together swim, take walks where Sam can climb trees and rocks, and read. Heather rekindled her love of reading when Sam was young, and she also loves being surrounded by books at Royal River Books that both she and Sam can enjoy.

Heather feels Royal River Books is a very important part of a small community, where she meets new people and forms great friendships with customers and their families. Many come see her at Frontier Cafe, Cinema and Gallery in Brunswick, where she also works.
